The inspiration to establish this agency came after a life-changing trip to Africa, a dream I had harbored for years. This journey came during the most painful and darkest chapter of my life, I was dealing with the sudden unexpected loss of my mother, my best friend. I did not know heartache of that magnitude was possible. I was battling severe depression, I felt alone, isolated, and completely hopeless, but Africa kept calling, and so I ran.
I ran to the other side of the world and saved myself along the way. In Nairobi, Kenya, I found solace by volunteering at an orphanage home to over a hundred children. My weekends were spent camping in the African wilderness, enjoying safaris, and immersing myself in the culture, traditions, and language of the Masai tribe. This enchanting experience was precisely what my soul yearned for at that juncture in life.
Though leaving the children and Kenya was heart-wrenching, I make it a point to return when I can. I will be eternally grateful for what that country helped me endure. Africa was the catalyst for my healing and the spark that ignited my passion for the transformative power of travel, leading to the inception of Forever Travel Company.
